Firmware Upgradation Error Pls Help

Hi Guys





I need to upgrade firmware in gen6 board.
i just followed the below steps,but its not working..

1.i am using an arduino uno board and arduino 0018 software for uploading marlin firmware into gen6,but i select sanguino in the arduino software(tools->boards->sanguino). because the code contains sanguino for gen6.

2.then i selected a com port and compile the source code.there is no error in the compilation process, done uploading.

3.when i am trying to upload the firmware,it shows the following error.

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51

4.i tried it more number no.of times.plug and unplug usb,install and unstall driver software.everything i tried but i got the same error every time.
what are the steps or procedure for uploading marlin firmware into gen6 board.am i using the correct software and the board used for uploading firmware is correct.

Any help and ideas to fix this issue will be much appreciated.
