i have build / i'm building a bigger printer ( print area 30 x 30 25 ) for ceramics. now the hardware is almost done and i'm doing same control tests. i don't have many programming skills and am running against a problem. in the marlin firmware the X and Y axes are using the same steps per rotation setup. in my printer i’m differed gears, belts for the y and ax is there a way to sprit the setup in the firm ware?

No - in marlin each axis has its own steps per mm setting. The only common x y parameter I can think of is xy jerk, but there may be others. But I am certain that steps per mm is separate for each axis.

I have a very recent download on Marlin, and that line is not in the configuration file - nor have I seen it in any versions I have previously downloaded.

I do, however, see this line:

#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {44.44,44.44,1600,699.897} // default steps per unit for Ultimaker

and you can see 4 separate values there for X, Y, Z, and E

Are you sure you are using marlin??
