hey all,
just a quick few things I could use some help with is finding out how to reverse engines as 2 axis go the wrong way
I also have an endstop at the wrong end but due to the design I made moving the endstop is not going to work so can I change the Home position on that axis?
and how can I make the up down rail go faster? it also has a homing issue, I click home about 4 times before it actually resets
I am using ramps 1.4

So first up - what endstop configuration are you using? You've got several ways of doing it, ultimately using builtin pullups or external pullups/pulldowns, with it either sitting high and going low on trigger, or sitting low and going high on trigger. "normal" is a low signal that goes high, if your electronics is rigged back to front, then you need change these lines:

This tells it wether the direction pin on the stepper driver goes forward or backwards - so if you have it going the wrong direction (goes backwards on one axis when it should go forwards) then flip them around - it's up to how the stepper coils are wired, and as there's no standard, you may find that one setup is right for one motor, but wrong for another - the fix is either to flip them around in wiring, or invert the direction pin

This part tells it wether to home to an endstop at max or at min (so set it to "-1" to go to a "Min" endstop or 1 to go to a "Max" endstop)

So, Figure out your end stop logic (is low and goes high when it's hit, or high and goes low when it's hit), then tweak the Axis direction to make it work the way you anticipate, then setup the home dir using those flags

majic you are awesome. I know this is for firmware but any help on how to make the up down go further? I think its a jumper pin issue but would like to confirm

That says how long your axis is (set the MAX_POS values to your real axis lengths)

But also make sure these values are correct:

These are used to set Steps per mm (unit in this case means millimeter), first value is for X axis, second value is for Y axis, third is Z and fourth is your extruder

My setup (Foldarap with GT2 timing belts, 20 tooth wheels (1/16th microstepping on X and Y axis), M5 threaded rods for Z axis (1/2 stepping) and a MK7 extruder wheel (direct drive) looks like this:

majic you helped out a lot but still having issues. when I load default marlin software it works.... the second I calibrate it the z axis goes again... any help?
