Extruding issue - motor cannot extrude
August 23, 2016 05:12PM
Hello,

This is my hotend:
[i.ytimg.com]

I'm using RAMPS 1.4 and this is my extruder motor:
[g01.a.alicdn.com]

This is my configuration file:
[pastebin.com]

Quote
configuration.h
#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {107.5,107.5,175.0,86.4}
#define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {100, 100, 20, 205}
#define DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION {100,100,100,100}

AXIS STEPS PER UNIT for extruder is 86.4 and when I press extrude 1000mm (1000mm/min) in pronterface I got exactly 1 meter extruded filament.

The problem is that when I push filament (by hand) on heated hotend It gets extruded but when It comes very slowly during printing it is filament doesn't come out from hotend. Any sugestions?

Videos for better understanding will be uploaded 24-08-2016 after 17:00 CEST

Thank you for help!

I don't think this is a firmware issue, because you say "when I press extrude 1000mm (1000mm/min) in pronterface I got exactly 1 meter extruded filament". This suggests that the extruder stepper motor is being driven correctly.

What exactly is happening when "filament doesn't come out from hotend"? Is the extruder motor turning? Is filament going into the extruder?

I guess that filament does go through the extruder and hotend? Or did you just do this test through the extruder and not the hotend?

What type of filament are you using, and what temperature? Does your hotend have a PTFE liner? I suggest looking at the "Printing" forum (e.g. [forums.reprap.org])
