RepRap in hperterminal

Just a quick query, as I had been beginning to test my electronics at the local MakerSpace open day, Vik unfortunately was busy and unable to help.

What is the series of commands that I use to communicate with Gen3 electronics with the 20100806 formware, through HyperTerminal?

Thanks

The "series of commands" is sending G-Code. For testing the connecting, press the reset button and a "start" should appear.

FiveD isn't exactly a good choice for manual interaction, though, as it requires line numbers and checksums. Teacup Firmware is more relaxed in this regard.

It is for debugging why serial comms stopped working yesterday.

Does the baud rate matter? I did try 9600 and got no response on power on, so I thought that there may be a command to send to establish basic comms.

Yes, the baud rate does matter. The rate hardcoded into the firmware and the one choosen in Hyperterminal must match. Try 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200, one of these should always be correct.
