What i mean by help is a couple questions I'm a little stuck on, I downloaded a version of FiveD that will work on an atmega328 (since this is what i use am familiar with) but I can eventually get a Sanguinololu if need be.
I know that the Firmware is:
Responsible for interpreting G-Code
Controlling the stepper motors
Manipulating the extruder with the correct G-Code
Communicating with the PC
What I'm unsure of is:
Does the firmware control the extruder temperature?
Does it control the bed temperature?
My goal is to build a mill AND reprap in one, so i would like to know if i can either segment the "heated" control into another circuit OR add a switch and just tweak the firmware so when the switch is in one position it doesn't start/control heating.
