Timing belts and extruders

Hi developers,
I am applying you to help me with the belts and extruders for RepRap. I've got some questions:
- Are there any more types of extruders or is only one type? And how many and which timing belt do a have to have for working together with extruder?

If I have this two components, will it be ok?

timing belts are used to drive the X and Y axes. Their respective lengths are called out in the wiki. They are not, afaik, used to drive any of the extruders.

There are a variety of extruder designs. Read/search the many posts here in this forum or go to the reprap wiki for a listing of the various designs.
