Anet A8 Y axis belt
February 19, 2017 10:55AM
I'm in the middle of building my Anet A8 and I didn't know if this was an issue or not. The Y axis belt is not perfectly even overy itself so when I run the bed all the way up to theight top, the belt almost wants to pop off the motor as you can see in the picture. Is this normal or should the top part of the belt be even over the bottom part the whole way?

If it is wrong, how do I fix it?

Yes the belt needs to be aligned. As it is, it will wear the edge of the belt and you allso run the risk of the belt climbing over the pulley edge

That's what I thought but I don't know why it's like this. I followed the instructions and nothing is really adjustable so I'm not sure why it's not lined up.

Would have see the entire belt and whats where to know what to do..

But firstly the belt pulley on the stepper motor can be move up and down the stepper motor shaft.. so there is one place for adjustment.

At a guess without seeing the rest of it, this belt pulley need to moved up the motor shaft

I agree with Dust,

I posted a reply yesterday about this to your same post in the Prusa i3 and variants area, [forums.reprap.org]
