Hello, I am opening this topic since I have some problems with motors calibration. I cannot get them working. I am assembling a Prusa RepRap, with NEMA-17 motors and Sanguinololu. After loading Pronterface, I moved X,Y;Z axis, and I could hear the noises from motors, but they do not rotate ( i have disconnected the belts for testing purpose). So i have 2 questions:
- I am using a 550watt ATX power supply, is it ok?, I have just connected the 4-pin to the sanguinololu board. Isn't it enough, is it? Maybe ampere problem?
- I have tried to test a motor separatelly, I have 4 wires, Red, Green, Blu, Black. I read on Nema's datasheet, connection should be Red-Blu (forward), Green-Black (backward). But it's not ok, they do not move. Then I tried with a tester, and I noticed wirings might be not ok, in fact the instrument said the correct ones were Blu-Black and Green-Red. But I could not make them work, even tought I used 3.3v for this testing. Should i try with 5v? And what are the correct wirings?
Thanks in advance.
