I am a newbie and am just now accumulating parts for my first Prusa build. I ordered a MK2a heat bed and a 12V, 30A power supply. A buddy of mine has a Mendel and has helped a few people build. He said that he had problems getting his heat bed up to the right temp and only got results when he went up to 14V. His power supply had a trim pot to adjust it a bit. Mine hasn't shipped yet but the listing says it s adjustable to +/- 10%. That would ge me to 13.2V. From what I have read in the forums so far, most people get by perfectly fine with a pc ATX power supply at 12V. I'll have to wait for my parts to come in but am curious if anyone out there has needed to raise the voltage to increase the heat to a usable level.
