Is there a complete list of parts for Prusa i3

I have a built 1 Prusa Mendel from the wiki instructions which was pretty painless. The father In law wants to build one and was thinking of recommending the i3. The problem is I can't put together a list of parts.
I end up at something called a gut hub reading a Readme file for the single plate version that refers to
Visual instructions that don't exist as far as I can tell.

"Using doc/complete-printer.scad as a visual clue and doc/manual.txt as a
guide, build the printer."

I'm lost. Where do I go.

have a look at the 2nd reprap mag, Reprap Magazine there's a build guide in there for the single plate, there's a list of parts there, but I don't know if its complete or not. (I didnt build a single plate version).

Read the article carefully though, make sure its for the same version you wish to build (mag article is for an Einstein version which uses 10mm threaded rod for the Y-axis (same as the box version) not sure what other differences there may be to the normal single plate version.

It depends on which variant of the single plate one uses. At this point there are at least a few (that I've seen) versions of RP parts. I use this for a standard build with a single Greg's extruder...

2x 370mm M8 smooth

4x 205mm M8 threaded
2x 350mm M8 smooth
2x 380mm M10 threaded

2x 320mm M8 smooth
2x 300mm M5 threaded

12 x M10-1.50 nut, zinc
12 x M10 flat washer, zinc

34 x M8-1.25 nut, zinc
34 x M8 flat washer, zinc

4 x M5-0.8 nut, zinc

50 x M3-0.5 nut, zinc
50 x M3 flat washer, zinc
12 x M3-0.5 nyloc nut, zinc

24 x M3-0.5 x 10mm socket head cap screw, black oxide
10 x M3-0.5 x 15mm socket head cap screw, black oxide
16 x M3-0.5 x 20mm socket head cap screw, black oxide
5 x M3-0.5 x 35mm socket head cap screw, black oxide
3 x M3-0.5 x 40mm socket head cap screw, black oxide
3 x M3-0.5 x 8mm socket head set screw, black oxide
1 x M8-1.25 x 20mm socket head set screw, black oxide

10 x LM8UU linear bearings
3 x 608ZZ bearings (extruder)
2 x 623ZZ bearings (X and Y belt idlers)

And of course the plate, electronics, motors, etc.

Where do I find information on the different versions to be able to make a decision?
I did say I needed a list of parts... But I also need instructions to know how to put it together.

I think reprap mag has the best instructions I've seen so I will probably go with that whatever Einstein is.

Thanks all.

I'm currently building a Prusa i3.

I used the SC10UU bearings x 4 (uses 10mm smooth rod on the Y axis ... which means a stronger build & there's little difference in price. )

The SC10UU's are great and have an alloy housing... whereas the LM8UU bearings are exposed & require zip ties to hold them in place.
note: I used LM8UU bearings for all other sliding parts. The SC10UU bearings are only for the heatbed carriage.

    Single allow plate model.
    Wade's Extruder
    J-Head
    sC10UU linear bearings x 4
Sanguinololu Board. + Panelou LCD (with SD card)

I hope in time to upgrade my extruder but for now the Wade's will be just fine for a newbie like me. smiling smiley

On this topic, can someone recommend the best i3 plastic part design to use and that are reliable to print? I see there are several versions.

On further searching, I see Jo Prusa has uploaded an improved set of plastic... Here on GitHub
