Just start a PSU, power it on,
And get a USB and a PC connected,
Update the Firmware as you can see in a Video from Colin,
After that you can simple use a test cube

I would prefer Cura from Ultimaker if i were you, its alot easyer to use ^^

You can just print with Cura directly, or just export a gcode on a SD and do it in your printer and print it from there ^^
For longer prints it might be better on a SD card just IF the pc shuts down etc, i also had this once at the last half hour of a 10hour print
Some nice Upgrades for your Prusa i3 (Yes i also have one, I realy like your blue btw ^^ i kept it as it is since i didnt have any paint and i didnt care doing it back then, But ye its very nice ^^ now it would be anoying doing everything apart tho..)

I did do those cables that you can see coming from the fans somewhere else since that wasnt safe at all
Also i would recommend putting a fan on your ramps board, Just if it gets to hot and starts skipping steps and messing your print

Its a 5 dollar upgrade and will work for ages ^^
