Wider Y bed carriage on MendelMax 1.5+

Hello to all, I would like to know if using a wider linear guide (read rail) and carriage on the Y axis of a MendelMax 1.5+ can improve the "stability" of the bed.

I can buy a linear guide with the same W profile (double rods) needed for the MendelMax 1.5+, with two choices of width, 40mm or 80mm.
The carriage has this measurements:
For the 40mm linear guide - width 73mm - lenght 100mm - height 24mm
For the 80mm linear guide - width 107mm - lenght 100mm - height 24mm

Questions:
1) There will be improvement using wider linear guide/rail?
2) Wider rail imply modification (stretching) of the Y Axis belt clamp, doing this what could happen?
(I think nothing)
3) What about carriage lenght and working surface? I don't know the measurements of the MendelMax 1.5+ carriage that is sold by some 3D printers' shops, could someone, which own a 1.5+, tell me the lenght?

Thanks to all, hope everything is clear, and good printing! :-)

The main source of Y error on all these designs is the stiffness of the frame. If you are going to improve things, that's where I'd focus.
