Rather than buy a "who knows what" from "who knows who", I'd get a name brand from a real distributor for the same price:

There are a lot of knock off supplies out there. Sometimes they work ok, sometimes not. The supply on Newegg is not begin sold by Newegg. It's an outfit called "Unique Bargains". They don't list a manufacturer, so it's a good bet it's a knock off. I've seen MeenWell supplies (it's actually MeanWell) and a bunch of similar silly stuff.

You'll be fine with window glass. We shipped a couple hundred boro sheets at this point, no breakage. It's like anything else it just has to be packaged properly. One reason boro is more expensive is that it's made to greater tolerances and adding the boron adds to the cost. The advantage is in thermal shock reduction. Depending on the quality of window glass some hande heat better than others.but generally it's not an issue. One reason many kit suppliers don't include glass are the minimum buys for real borofloat. It's also not as widely available and needs to be sourced typically from an industrial glass supplier rather than a construction glass supplier. The only downside to using window glass is a safety issue in that if the cuts are not safety seamed it's easy to get a serious laceration from handling the glass including using your printer after it's installed. Most glass shops will be able to do this as part of the cutting service though some of the big box home improvement retailers may not have the capability. There are small tools, under US$10 that allow one to seam the glass if you can't get it don
e when it's cut.

If you are shopping for heated bed glass - get more than one piece. You will *eventually* figure out how to bounce it off something hard. When you do, it will be right in the middle of a multi part print. Much easier to grab the spare piece than to go through the whole acquisition process all over again.
