Having trouble to apply Kapton tape to print bed

I'm having trouble to apply a nice flat layer of Kapton tape to the build bed. These things are very sticky and I always end up with bubbles or crimples. And I always have the tapes overlap near the edge. How do you guys put Kapton tape on the heat bed?

search on youtube. there is a very easy method that involves spraying mildly soapy water onto the glass first. This allows you to move the tape around until you get the lined up perfectly. Then you squeegee as much water as you can out from beneath the tape and then let it dry. It works great for me.

I agree with Jbernardis, but be careful not to wet the electronics on your heatbed. Check out this guide: [3dprinterczar.com]

Absolutely true. It's best to remove your glass and do the tape application somewhere else. I do sometimes put the glass back on the printer and turn on the bed just to speed up the drying process.

Ive had a lot of luck on my heated bed, printing on glass, using blue painters tape and then a shot of hairspray.

When I'm printing PLA, the blue painters tape alone provides great traction. If I put hair spray or heat the platform, it's next to impossible to remove the print.

I'm printing on a borosilicate glass as well.
