I downloaded the Mendel Frame-Vertex_6off.stl file and loaded it into Solidwork. It look great, but has some extra hole in the center. anyone know what they are for?

thanks in advance.

I asked the core team the same question and got this answer from Adrian Bowyer: -

Mostly because they might be useful one day...

But one of the 3mm ones allows a length of filament to be used as a cable support to the X axis.

Well that is cool, I milled a bunch of these and it doesn't take long to have that extra hole in it.

Thank your for the reply.

I could not see a use for them as Im lazy I left them out on my plastic corner block version.

With MDF you can always drill it later.
