Polymorph is a plastic that melts in 60 degrees. maybe it could be used to get some kind of booststrap - mendel?

Maybe this could also be used as support material?

reprap has a strong history with polymorph. it was one of the first plastic/s that was considered ( after hot-glue , I think). There were serious problems with polymorph, which I think included it's shrinkage properties, and possibly the fact that it broke-down under temperature. I've not personally tried extruding it.

:-D I must admit I thought of hot-glue also ;-)

Using polymorph as repstrat-mendel could be usefull.. all you need to do is
1) make some mould for example from modelling clay or something
2) mold your essential mendel-parts. 60 C is not too hot.. just boil some water
3) print the parts with ABS or something

I have an impression that using repstrapper, you would end up getting a lot of material you cannot use on the actual mendel. After making the finished parts, you can re-use the polymorph.
