Bad edges on i3 + e3d v5

After a lot of tries, I still can't print with great quality.

I have:
- makerFarm i3 8";
- e3d v5 3mm;
- nozzle 0.4;
- ABS;

steps that I did
1) extruder calibrated using 100mm method ( [www.instructables.com] ); On my printer this value for У steps per 1mm is 955
2) nozzle fully cleaned;
3) Im using KISSlicer PRO, Cura, but the same result sad smiley
4) I'am trying different speeds(30mm/s, 60mm/s), different layers heights(0,15 and 0,3), temp 230C, but result is same.
5) I am using different retraction settings (lower speeds and lover length).

The main problem - is printing small paths, all long paths prints normally.

Please help!

Looks like your Z axis needs better calibration, there are gaps showing in the back of the piece.

MakerFarm 8" Prusa i3v
RAMPS 1.4
0.4mm E3D v6 for 1.75mm

With my E3D hot end on my 8" makerfarm I had to put my retract at .5mm to get rid of some of those issues. With the Magma I had before it it was more like 1.2mm retract.
Id print that at 40mm/sec 225c tip and 110c bed with a .2mm layer height.

did you try to print at 230C or 235C?

Also I used standard black ABS 3mm from makerfarm site and it very frequently clog my 0.4 nozzle, every .5-1meter sad smiley

how to calibrate Z axis?

I know about Z coupling that allow to fix "Z wobbling" [www.thingiverse.com]

after changing retraction settings to
- extrusion length - 1mm,
- speed - 30mm/s,
- min travel before extraction - 2mm

I've got twice better results, but not ideal sad smiley
