RepRap TriColour - How to check current limits

I'm missing something, somewhere...
"DO NOT CONTINUE WITHOUT CHECKING CURRENT LIMITS!"
Very nice, big letters, followed by a discussion of dire consequences.

I've followed the instructions pretty carefully. I have checked all the resistance values (Twice, actually).

Is checking the resistance values the same thing as checking current limits? Did I miss a step somewhere? Can anyone reassure me before I start pushing amps through my new prize?

Something that may help out the next person to read the thread: If you buy your kit directly from RepRapPro Shop, they perform the tests for you.
