Need help with Prusa i3 J-Head 0.35, 1.75mm, Hotend Print Quality

Hello,

for several weeks I now own a Prusa i3.

Everything went smooth, from building, frist print and clibration.

So the Problem i have got is:

1. On the outer perimeter, where the hotend goes around and once it almost meets again same spot, to close the round/layer, it produces a little "blop" or upward string of filament:

Quality otherwise is good:

but this looks just not right sad smiley

Like a flaw on some knitted sweaters, with some of the strings hanging out ;-)

Also overhangs tend to curl up!

to a point where the nozzle hits the bent-up PLA and starts melting several layers...

I have read althrough the really big thread about this issue here.
One guy even did some Video Slow-motion analyzes of what happens.

I tried :

- low/high temperature
- slow/fast speeds
- 1 or 3 fans running.
- little or much retraction.

I use 1.75mm PLA, a heated bed, heated to 62 degrees, printing directly on 5mm smooth high quality glass.
Prints stick superb and I have absolutely no problem with warping, not even slightly.

Just those 2 problems,

1. bending edges on prints -> worse on overhung parts.

and

2. those little "holes" in the print, cause by some blops/or also uplfiting fialment, maybe caused from too fast movement after outer perimeter is done?!

any help is really much appreciated!

I print 0.248mm layer height currently, but also happens at 02.mm

I use 186° and 3 fans (2 blowing at the piece form both sides , one at the hotend)

Most of the time, as I know, to avoid your trouble the solution is to increase extrusion temperature. Did you try to print at 200° ?

I went up to 196° and it did not seem to help.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
I would love to try 205 or 210° but, I cannot anymore.

My Hotend is damaged as of today.
The Thermistor sleeving completely melted...

Isn`t that supposed to withstand the heat?!

anyways, ordered E3D V6 - hope that gives me more controll and more reliable printing :-)
