Question on building a MendelMax 1.5 on the "cheap"
May 09, 2017 01:28PM
Hello,

I will be having a lot of left over parts from a heavy modified Wanhao Di3 project, I was thinking about printing and building a MendelMax 1.5 with them. I found a few listings on Thingiverse for them and got me interested since I should have most of the hardware already: Melzi board with LCD screen, end stop switches, heat bed with glass, frame, and optical rods, extra E3D hot ends. Off the top of my head, I think I just need motors, fans, rods, and frame (and of course the 3D printed parts).

My big question is, could I just use printed T-2020/T-3030 frame beams for it?

Thoughts?

Thanks!
