LM8UU Prusa Mendel build with some tips and ideas

Hello everyone,

If you are planning to build a Prusa, I have just built up a full linear bearing (LM8UU) version.
Some of the pictures, advice and modifications in my Blog update may help you decide what to build or how to build it.

I highly recommend using the linear bearings and there are a few different Linear Prusa designs now, good luck.

Take a look - * Pimp my Mendel * - How to build up a LM8UU Linear Bearing Prusa

Hi Richrap,

Very nice build and instructions!
Could you please update us / confirm about pin number connexions between the SD card board and the RAMPS 1.2? (or has this info already been written down in the wiki? last time I checked it wasn't there)

HI Lanthan

The files are on Kliment's site here - http://koti.kapsi.fi/~kliment/photos/sdramps/

With a picture of it connected

Is has a dedicated connector on RAMPS 1.3 also shown on the Wiki page below

and the WIKI page for SD RAMPS is here http://reprap.org/wiki/Sdramps

And there is a DIFFERENT SD PCB for the Sanguinololu - available from Kliment

Rich.

Nice pics, THX!

I was just looking for a pin mapping table.

Yes of course this information is very easy to dig out from the firmware and the eagle files. Or I may hack my own.

But then I'd not be willing to pay 3x the market price for anything with an unfinished documentation job. Commercial initiatives should be encouraged to fully document their stuff.

I thought I found this in the SDRAMPS site before. Anyway, I posted the pin assignments in another thread on SDRAMPS along with how I adapted a Gravitech microSD card. In the end, I think it's still better to get Kliment's SDRAMPS.
