Mcmaster pulley

Probably a common question but the search is not helping me find the answer. Does anyone have a part number for an X axis pulley from Mcmaster to fit a NEMA 17? I've got a bad pulley and now I can't print a new one.

camblonie, it's not McMaster, but Ebay has a couple of pulley suppliers.

The ones there are T5, but if you're using XL belt, they would work well enough for you to print a new XL gear.

SDP-SI is a good USA source for small Inch/Metric drive parts. They don't have any exact matches, but there may be something you can make work:

"A 6M35M012DF1005" T5 pulley, 12 tooth, 5mm bore, 10mm wide, plastic
"A 6A35M010DF1004" T5 pulley, 10 tooth, 4mm bore, 10mm wide, aluminum

"A 6Z 3M10DF09505" XL pulley, 10 tooth, 5mm bore, 9.5mm wide, plastic w aluminum insert

I'm seriously doubting you'll find an 8 tooth option from an industrial source, as that's rather smaller than the minimum bend radius for the belt.

Alternatively, you can buy some printed T5 pulleys from MakerGear.

Probably not actually, as they will introduce significant backlash.
If you have XL belts, part # 57105K11 at mcmaster will work, though you will need to drill out the bore with a 5mm drill. Same goes for the SDP-SI pulleys. I don't think you can find XL pulleys with a 5mm bore.

BTW I have the XL pulleys from SDP-SI that KSevcik listed. They work great.

Wait, it seems like KSevcik just listed a part number for an XL pulley with a 5mm bore... unless im missing something.... here is the link to part number "A 6Z 3M10DF09505" [sdp-si.com]

Wouldn't those be perfect? Are those the ones you have that work great?

Those would be perfect actually. I misread his post, the ones I got had a 3/16" bore. I somehow missed that they have XL pulleys with 5mm bores. The ones I have appear to be identical with the exception of the bore, and yeah they do work great.
