Due i'm not 100% happy with my z axis, just made a mod for my prusa Z axis.
Cheap, can adjust (increase gap between rod and motor for flexibility) or less (close gap btween rod and shaft) ,easy to install and robust

That's exactly how I have my Z axis on my Prusa, I found some dirt cheap steppers with 3mm shafts and a brass gear, found the right size tubing (although mine is a bit thicker than yours) and slapped it together. Never had a problem with it.
