Is this possible? 2 axis print?

I'm reading some of these other posts in here and it doesn't seem like that much power is needed to set the resin powder. So i had this thought, I have a ~15w Co2 laser from Versalaser with a 16x12 build platform, would it be possible to lets say spread out a even layer of the powder you guys use and print a single layer, lets say i wanted to make a mesh screen or something flat only in two dimensions, do you think thats possible? i can adjust the power of the laser down to i think about 1% power, and ive sort of done this before with powdered sugar, but never thought of any of the SLS powders. any thoughts?
