Hi,
I have a ToM with an ABP -- and while I know a lot of people don't like rafts because it "wastes plastic", I like the look of the finished product when printed on the raft.
I do have one problem though -- and that is the ABP belt had a tendency to "lift" when printing tall aspect objects --- because there is only a little tension in the X-axis orientation.
The way the rafts print, the long axis of the raft is in the Y axis direction. When you remove the raft, it's obviously stiff in the Y direction but easily rolls (like a sushi making roller) in the X direction.
I think switching the raft orientation to have the long axis in the X direction would help significantly, and may eliminate the need to skirt the raft.
Is there a way to specify the raft direction and I somehow missed it? I have scoured through all of SF35 that bundled with RepG 29r2. I also have tried SF44, but have not been as through with SF44 because I have yet to get anything resembling a successful start of a print in SF44.
Thanks in advance.
Joseph
