[SOLVED]Skeinforge 40 print head movement over open spaces
January 27, 2012 03:10PM
I used to know this setting and now have forgotten. I want the print head to stay over the area it is printing on. I don't want the head to take "shortcuts" I want it to stay away from the open spaces that it is not printing on. Lets say I am printing out a cylinder. I don't want the middle to have strings from it cutting across.

Thanks.

Might have found it. I am not sure this is the only one. Going to try it out.

Comb basically tells skeinforge to not let the extruder move outside the perimeter if it can avoid it. This makes a HUGE difference (in a good way) in cleanup times but does add to the total print time. Unless you’re really, REALLY interested in the quickest print you can get, just leave it enabled.
