Infill lines not parallel
November 04, 2012 10:07AM
Hi,

Im trying to get parallel lines with the line infill on Skeinforge 50 but apparently I'm missing something. I do get parallel lines on the first and last two layers but inbetween the lines are running in an angle I dont want, as shown in the screenshot. My settings are:

Infill Begin Rotation: 45
Infill Begin Rotation Repeat: 1
Infill Odd Layer Extra Rotation: 90
Infill pattern: Line

Does anybody know what setting I have to change?

Thanks
Daniel

Skeinforge based infill does not output the infill lines parallel to each other except for 100% infill.

Slic3r does infill lines parallel reguardless of % infill.

KISSlicer infill is a honeycomb type infill without a selectable infill pattern.

Ah, good to know. I used slic3r before, so I thought parallel lines is the most basic setting. Would be nice to have the option in skeinforge to change the angle of the infill lines to each other...

it is not a setting but a different method. It corresponds to line infill in slic3r. You can use rectangular infill in SF to get something "similar".(the lines are parallel but teh lines are not going from perimeter to perimeter..)
