A part which don't skeinforge...

Hi everybody! smileys with beer

there is a Mendel alternative part (xaxis-motorbracket_1off.stl) which can't be treated by Skeinforge, because of a veeeeerrrryyyy long process time, leading to a bad slicing of the part.

I tried many things (several Linux machines, an OS X one, repairing the file with Netfabb Cloud Service, opening it into several softwares (OpenScad, ReplicatorG, Pleasant3D, Netfabb basic) then saving it) but could'nt fix the .stl file.

This occurs with Skeinforge "32_reprap_python_beanshell" & Python 2.6.5.

Did you try to skeinforge this part once? could you help me?

I have had no problems slicing that part with SF and have printed many of them.

Carve procedure took 24 minutes 45 seconds.
Preface procedure took 1 second.
Inset procedure took 15 seconds.
Fill procedure took 1 minute 15 seconds.

That part does have a ridiculous high amount of triangles in the curves, and could benefit from a lower resolution stl export.

Thanks for your advices nophead and Nudel, I could skeinforge this file now. I was taking for a bug what was an "high amount of triangles", conducing to a huge carve process time.... each day something to learn!eye rolling smiley
