Skeiniso isn't working for me.

When I process an STL, the skeiniso view comes up momentarily, and it look awesome.

When I try to pull it up manually on an existing gcode file, I get:

Skeiniso settings have been saved.
Extrusion settings have been saved.
Skeinforge profile settings have been saved.
Skeinforge settings have been saved.
The lower left corner of the skeiniso window is at 999999999.0, 999999999.0
The upper right corner of the skeiniso window is at -999999999.0, -999999999.0

I don't know why it vanishes after displaying successfully when I'm processing a stl, but it doesn't produce an error message.

I'm using the latest beta: 35_reprap_python_beanshell.zip, dated 2010-11-06 05:14:02 CET

How about a link to the .gcode file that is giving you this problem.
The lower left corner of the skeiniso window is at 999999999.0, 999999999.0
The upper right corner of the skeiniso window is at -999999999.0, -999999999.0

Sure, here it is. Would have done that earlier but the 253K file size was intimidating. Zips up nice though.

With Skeiniso I get the same problem.
Skeinlayer works but there is something in the hole of your bar clamp layer #15 to #28!

I only ever use Skeinlayer.

Oh, I'd just been messing with support settings. So there's a little bit of extra plastic positioned oddly in this particular version. I was messing with skeinforge settings and regenerating the gcode to see what effect they all had, must have regenerated the gcode at least a dozen times.

And yes, skeinlayer works fine. skieniso very consistently does not.

But it's so pretty!

Or perhaps I should find a different gcode visualizer? There's no reason that my computer couldn't handle a nice 3D rotatable representation of at least this simple object.

I'd expect other g-code visualizers to be aimed at subtractive machining, I wonder how well they'd work with our stuff?

I'll download EMC2 and try that.
