How to center the print with Skeinforge?
August 15, 2011 10:30AM
Hi,

I'm using repsnapper with ramps with success, but I want to be able to use skeinforge (any version).
I tried to use Skeinforge35 with Ultimachine profile: [ultimachine.com]

But this doesn't work for many different reason each time I try.

So I decided that I'm going to start from scratch with skeinforge41.

With the default setting the gcode show up in repsnapper under the bed. So I activated the plugin Dimension and set to Relative extrusion distance, Filament diameter to 3mm.

Now my gcode, when loaded with repsnapper, show up on top of the bed however part of the object is outside of the bed along the X and Y axis.

How can I "move" the print?

Enable the Multiply module and set rows and colums to 1. That'll center/floor the object.

Thank you Dave.

I also had to put the center to 100 on X and Y.
Now I have to figure out why repsnapper add a red cube around the object. (See attachement)

Looks like the bounding cube of the gcode movement to me.

Hum Ok it might be that but when redsnapper generate its own gcode I never get this cube.
Ill guess I'll try a print tonight.

Thank you.
