SFACT moves way too fast?

SFACT moves way too fast?

Alright, so SFACT is amazing. I'm on all default settings except for dimension, and my printer prints beautiful parts now, but i have one issue with it. When moving to a print, it moves at F7800! This is fast enough that first of all it shakes free parts in other areas of the bed which can be an issue, and second i don't feel my reflexes would be fast enough to pull the plug if it messed up at these speeds, it would just slam into the end of the X axis and ruin some RP parts or a belt.

So which setting is this? i can only find stuff for while printing. I'm pretty new to skeinforge...

thanks!

In the speed tab at the bottom you will see travel speed and it is set to 130mm/s (7800mm/m) change it to something you are comfortable with.

I have found that with an Original Mendel (sells) sfact gives me worse prints than SF41 even when I had slowed it down heaps

Perhaps, but i had a difficult time understanding SF41, and SFACT has stuff actually explained. Also, how do i tell it to craft parts in a different orientation? I have 2 parts here that are both attempting to print up-side down, when they would have much smaller overhangs right side up.

speed worked, thanks.

Download netfabb basic (its free) and use that to re orientate the parts and re save them.

What printer are you using Prusa or Sells?

NelsonRap: most people who get worse results with SFACt have somehow hardware problems that they had circumvented during the trial and error process with SF.
CAn you be more specific about what is worse and maybe post some pics?
