I was trying to view the sanguinololu.brd file

I could not open the sanguinololu.brd file using latest Eagle software... ! confused smiley

Which software can be used to view it ?

Got it
I used the wrong file which could not be opened....
new file I got it from
https://github.com/mosfet/Sanguinololu/blob/master/rev1.3a/sanguinololu.brd and opened using Eagle 6.4.0
