Is it safe to connect a board configured for a standard prusa to a Huxley?

My 2nd-hand huxley didn't work so I bought a replacement Sanguinololu (from here: [www.emakershop.com] ) and replaced it. Now I've connected it to my laptop and it reads it, but I don't want to try putting in the power supply because of this: "The firmware is configured for a standard Prusa Mendel. If you have a different setup then you will need to modify it as appropriate."

I have looked at updating the firmware and it looks really complicated, is there a danger of damaging components if I try out the steps on the commissioning tutorial (testing the motors and end-stops)? I'm not sure what setting I need to change to configure it for a huxley. Anyone who could shine a light on this for me would be very helpful!
