Today I got around to cracking a laptop power brick apart. And the HP one that was dead hap a pot labeled vr1. So dose that mean I could lower the output voltage on some.?

vr looks like ref. voltage, but go ahead with a multimeter and try for yourself.

Keep in mind to have enough amps for heatbed and so on...
