Can I drive this steppers with RAMPS 1.4?
December 08, 2016 03:35PM
Hello,
sorry for my question, may be OT, but I can buy these stepper motors ( 23LM-C355-P2H, 17PM-M007-02, 17PS-C103-P1 from Minebea Co., Ltd.) for good price. Problem is, that I can't find some datasheets of 17's stepper. That's some custom motors. Only info I have is: Minebea 23LM-C355-P2H (Olivetti 57BYG 060), 56x56x50mm, 1,8°/step, 0,6Nm; Minebea 17PS-C103-P1: 42x42x39mm, 3,6°/step, 0,22Nm; Minebea 17PM-M007-02, 42x42x34mm, 1,8°/step, 0,15Nm.

Is there any way to find more info like Voltage? Can I drive this motors with ramps 1.4 if yes so what power supply I should use?

Thanks very much for any respond!

The left one seems suitable ( 2.4V coil voltage and 2A current ) for RAMPS with conventional A4988 drivers.
The others would depend on coil resistance, but usually NEMA17 steppers work with A4988 drivers too.
3.6° is not the best choice, but for a lead screw drive on a z-axis it will do.

Presuming any of these steppers are Bipolar and not unipolar (the latter requires special drivers, often has 5 wires)
