External Gear Pump

I've been working on a 3D printable external gear pump that I eventually plan on using for printing with pastes. Right now it pumps pretty well, but there are some major leakage issues around the threaded rod that serves as the driven axel.

Looks like it works pretty well. If it's critical to avoid leakage, look into peristaltic pumps; they're really easy to make.
I have a small one from inside an old Epson 740. The tube has an ID of about 1/16" and it pumps chocolate syrup well.
It's funny that we both went to chocolate syrup to test thick liquids grinning smiley
