Nice design, the opening for the reset button is a little small, it should be wide enough for a fingertip

Hello Gerard,

We will make two version one as you will saw on picture with hole on the screwdriver, and the second one with more big hole on the finger. I think that we also can make some small button in this place but first I need test it in print. Because I think that model should be very easy to print on all 3d printers.

Rafal

Hey RAF,

I really like this case and i'm building your MendelMax kit as we speak,
Is it possible to get the STL's for this case?

Nice case! Will this be going on thingiverse any time soon? smiling smiley

Also, what size fans are you using for it?

Hi RAF, I am having a few things that I would like to see on this case smiling smiley

- for RAMPS + LCD Shield + fan splitter + dual electronics cooling fans

I could, however, design all this myself, since it's not much work for me. But I'm curious to see.

On my current machine I had a hard time figuring out where to put the fan splitter board and the electronics fans of G3D are also already having their own connectors right on the Ramps, so all I would need is a case that fits around it all and that I can connect the fan splitter to.

Added to this I will develop a cable-clip in which the left-over cable lengths can be clipped winking smiley

Some hooks on both side for keeping wires inplace would be nice, smiling smiley

I will definitely make this case (with the LCD module installed). And if it will be open-source, of course. smiling smiley

Looks but, but I see a few problems.

You have what appears to be two 40mm fans blowing in, and in the first pic, no exit, and in the latter version a small amount. Another issue I see, is very little air flow out the end where connections are made, this limits the air flow over the heated be mosfet. Considering I've burned out 2 of them on a power hungry bed, I would say that will be an issue for heated bed owners. Also, the resettable fuses should be cooled, I've tripped them more than a few times as well.

Basically, what air you you are dumping, is all going out the sides where it's doing nothing and created a dead zone right where you need the most airflow. If you aren't using a heated bed, this will be fine, but I foresee problems if you use one, especially one using a bit of power.

The case looks very cute.

This si the best looking case I've seen.

Are there any STL files available for it?

I can't find them on Thingiverse sad smiley
