Camera mount and holder for Octoprint

I have recently been using Octoprint along with webcams on two of my printers but became dissatisfied with the traditional method pf propping camera on empty filament boxes and hold it there with Duck tape. Also, it would be nice to be able to move the camera out of the way to take prints off or do necessary maintenance - and then put the camera back where it was.

CAD of the mount above to show the arrangement. Neodymium magnets hold the inner arm in position but allow the whole assembly to be swung out of the way.
Photos below of one on a stand (Oak block and 8mm silver steel rod) and one mounded on a Prusa.

Sorry for the stupid question, but would not it be cheaper and more practical to buy cheap IKEA lamp, disassemble the lamp and put webcam into it? Kinda like people do phone/tablet holders for bed...
But I like your design skills.
