Hello Sublime,
I am interested in getting the necessary parts to make my own 3d printer. I live in Calgary. Let me know if you can help me. Thanks.

Hi Sublime,

If I'm buying this kit :
http://www.a2aprinter.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=42

What set of part should I buy from your site? Prusa 1 or Prusa 2?

Also, while you answer this, can you tell me if this kit is any good before I order it.

Thanks

That kit is for the Prusa 1.

But I would not recommend that exact kit as it comes with a Wades extruder (gregs extruder included in my kit) and the hotend that kit comes with is not worth your time or money to purchase.

I would go with a kit like [www.mixshop.com]

Plus:

5 motors
Complete RAMPS kit (arduino, Ramps board, connectors)
4 pololu drivers (or stepstick)
Endstops

Then buy a J-head from Hotends.com

I hope I have not missed anything.

Thanks for the quick answer.

So this
http://www.mixshop.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=18&products_id=59
and
http://shop.3dprinting-r2c2.com/index.php/r2c2-starter-kit-plus.html
then
https://www.hotends.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=70
and finally your prusa 1 kit would be a good starter printer? I think it would all go for under 700$CAD too, that's good.

Thanks again for your help, and by the way, your parts looks really good, looking forward to be able to print my own stuff too.

Those all look good to me. Just as a note I don't know of anyone using r2c2 right now so you may want to have a look through the forum for reviews and the such. It should be good but as i said I don't know of anyone using it.

Hi.

I stumbled across this while researching resource based economies (RBE). I am putting together the numbers and listing out, all those things people have questions about.

This is awesome technology and a perfect fit with RBE :-)

Some of the links above don't work, so I'm having a bit of trouble following. Since you produce the higher quality plastic connectors, I should seek out the metal hardware kit and the print head assemblies seperately?

I live in Ontario. Are there Canadian suppliers I should contact?

I'd also like to know more about the Tantillus. The descriptions I found where sparses. In any case, I get the impression it should be in every workshop around the world. Imagine that, parts on demand with 0 pollution and open source.

Cheers
