Hello Guys,

For the past 6 months I've been working really hard on my own delta 3D printer, called the TripodMaker. The design is based on the well known Kossel from Johann. I focused mainly on creating a simple design while using standard industrial production techniques to obtain a high quality product.

The product is available for US and EU. Shipments are planned end of September, beginning of October, 2013! Check out more pictures on TripodMaker.com and pre-order yours today!

What tolerance is there on the angle of the brackets, I'd guess 1-2 degrees? Does that cause issues with alignment seeing as they are so rigidly defined?

Also on this site we tend to know how much things cost and also appreciate people require profit as a motivation, however, 1300EUR is more than a bit steep..
Also - A laser cut acrylic extruder!!

Good luck I hope you find a feature to help you stand above the crowd of delta's!

Hi yydoctt,

Thanks for your reply.

Concerning the tolerances on the brackets:
The top and bottom triangle is created out of 3 types of parts:
  • aluminum extrusions - 0.1mm tolerance
  • bottom lasered connection - 0.1mm tollerance
  • folded back - 0.1mm and 0.1deg tollerance

All parts are made out of 3mm aluminum, laser cutted and machine-folded within tolerances. Quality comes with a price...

You like the acrylic extruder?

Regards!
