Large delta components

hi,

I have been looking around for ideas for a new delta build with about 300mm area.

I have a cherry pi now and before that a rostock. I did like the smooth rods of the rostock but the trax rod ends wore badly, I do like the ball joints of the cherry pi IIIs.

There are few areas that I could do with some advise.

Which is the best for movement, hiwin rails or openbuild.

Which are the best rod ends, magnets, trax, igus or something else.

I'm leaning towards hiwin rails and igus rod ends.

Thanks Adam

Have A look at DC42 Blog re his large delta build it has a 330 mm bed using IGUS end and open build type extrusion/Wheels I myself have just built and sold one with a 300 mm bed using igus ends and hiwin rails and have one with open builds see slot and wheels with tracts joints with a 400mm bed all work extremely well (all 3 use the Robotdigg Aluminium parts except for DC's Effector which he enlarged to give the IGUS Loints more room as they are very tight on a std Kossel effector.
