Help with (re)sizing a Anycubic Kossel Linear Plus

Hello all!

So over the holidays I managed to get my hands on a second Anycubic Kossel Linear Plus (I know, I am a glutton for punishment...) and as I was sourcing parts to rebuild it...I realised I don't really need a second machine that does the same thing. Right now I am thinking of using it as a fine detail printer, maybe giving it one of those 0.25mm nozzles.

Since its going to print small stuff, I thought of also making frame smaller. I need to build custom rods for it anyways, so my idea is to replace the vertical extrusions with shorter ones, get shorter linear rails, and use shorter arms.

Using this online calculator, I came up with this : [danalspub.com]

A build area of 240x110mm is plenty for what I have planned for it, and allows me to keep the heated bed and the rest of the horizontal extrusions.

Feedback, suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
