Z-lift on a delta.

I am curious and look forward to this when I start to build my RoMax.
I've had some prints where z-lift would be really helpful but haven't had the time or money to get my Prusa into proper condition to use z-lift.

I'm thinking something like the Rostock design should be awesome at using z-lift without any issues. Using belts on pulleys the backlash should be minimal. Also because the same drive that controls x and y is also controlling z, I would think z lift should be pretty seamless during the printing of islands. Another advantage I see is speed, again with the same drive for all axis' I would think z-lift would have almost no affect on print speed.

Am I correct in these assumptions?

Of course this all assumes a good firmware I'd think, and we are still in the baby days of Delta firmware from what I read.

I'm running 0.3mm of Z lift at 200mm/s, on my rostock max, it's not as valuable as you might thing, but your assumption of it being seamless is pretty much correct.
