HELP: Auto Level moves in wrong direction
December 05, 2015 01:41AM
I have a RAMPS 1.4 running marlin 1.1-RC. The printer works in every way except that when I auto level, the printer wants to move in the "z" direction everytime. I have tried doing what was suggested in this thread as well as clearing the EEPROM and I seem to have no effect no matter what parameters I change in the configuration file.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Attached is the config file.

Does g28 home by moving up hitting tge endstops and then moving down a mm or 2?

Does gcode. G1 Z80 F6000
Move the printer down a little more then half way?

If do then the motors are setup correct. Next i would check the endstop while homed.
Should read
X, y ,z max triggered
While Z min open.

yea i started doing that and i kept doing m119 to see the switch states and was seeing the right ones were open and ignoring the missing switches....

...until i saw this

[github.com]

which means they all should have been open. i was ignoring the MIN_STOPS when i should not have. assumptions are not good!

thanks for the help guys!
