bed materials?

finally I levelled my micromake and the hotend can go up to 200 degree now...

now new problem... the print won't stay on the bed.

the bed is glass, after a while, it shifts....
I tried to apply paint tape on it, print sticks to it, but the tape also sticks to print and almost impossible to remove the tape. I used the painter;s tape bought from dollar store.

Any recommendations for the bed?

thanks

You could try:
1- hairspray
2- sugar water spray
3- kapton tape
4- Alcoa casted and machined Aluminum plate. See ebay

ABS - kapton tape on glass; heat to 110 °C
  • you man need to clean any oils from t he surface before printing
PLA - glue stick on glass; no bed heating
  • put only a thin film of the glue
  • if you have more of it then wipe the excess with a straight blade
  • if the last layer of glue is older than few hours then scrub it with the blade and apply a new layer

Not all hairsprays work. The ones which work contain some additive. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the additive.

Sugar water works for printing PLA on. I tried it and it worked, but it isn't my favourite surface. See [miscsolutions.wordpress.com] for my take on what bed surface to use for printing PLA on.

Yep I'm serious, it works and it's clean.
You had a question and I had a few answers.
