Delta_carriage_offset, Useless?

I would like to know if there is any good reason why the DELTA_CARRIAGE_OFFSET can't be removed from the math? I understand that the DELTA_CARRIAGE_OFFSET is deducted from the DELTA_SMOOTH_ROD_OFFSET. Couldn't the DELTA_SMOOTH_ROD_OFFSET just be measured to the top pivot of the Diagonal Rod (instead of to the center of the smooth rod)? I believe the values are the same and I don't see any triangulated values, because the top pivot moves along the same axis as the smooth rod carriage. I am guessing that it would ease the variable of another measurement

Obsessively curious. I will ask about other build problems in another topic

DELTA_CARRIAGE_OFFSET can be removed from the math as you propose.
