It was not that hard to drill the holes.
For the screw is M 3.
For the thermistor I drill a 2mm diameter hole, 3mm deep, then inside the 2mm hole I drill a 1.5 mm diameter and 2mm deep another hole for the head of the thermistor. I just have to be very careful to don't pass the 6mm.

Witch option I have to choose here for this Semitec thermistor ?
Thank you

Tolar250 Did you use PTFE tubing inside the Heat- break, Heatsink all the way up to the bottom of the Nimble ?
Thank you

yes mine is trimmed even with the top of the nimble adapter.

Thank you Tolar250.
I will start working on my Nimble and I will post some pictures.

Effector, viewed from underside

How the heck did you get the wires for the heater cartridge into the ferrules? When I went to do mine just now, the wire won't fit into them, like there is too much wire.

Also did you already do the 6-pin molex connector on the top already? I'm able to do perfect kk crimps all day, but I cannot get those molex pins to stay in their housing.

That's usually a sign that the crimps and the shell came from different manufacturers. In particular, Wurth crimps won't lock into Molex shells.

They came with the smart effector that I got from Filastruder. Actually ruined my heater cartridge trying to get them on as I kept cutting it shorter and shorter cause the pins would be ruined after they would come out.

edit: I'm also not super happy to have to cut the connector off my heater cartridge in the first place.

edit again: Figured out the 6 pin connector, my crimper was making the crimp too wide so I had to is pliers to squeeze them from the side. Those are ok now. But how about the ferrules?

FA-MAS sorry for delay.
For crimping I use this : [www.amazon.com]
For ferrules i use this :[www.amazon.com]
For M3 hole in the build plate i use this : [www.amazon.com]

I actually have that same crimper for the ferrules, the issue I have is actually getting the wire into the ferrule. It’s like there is soo much wire and won’t go into the part that gets crimped.

What gauge wire do you use ?
I use 22 gauge.
For Heater Cartridge i use 18 gauge silicone wire
Re: Kossel Delta xxl build project HELP
March 29, 2019 11:14PM
It’s the wire from the heater cartridge, I believe it’s 18 gauge.
Re: Kossel Delta xxl build project HELP
March 29, 2019 11:48PM
For 18 gauge i use different size ferrules , not the one from Filastruder kit. After crimping i use the pliers to adjust the crimp part of the ferrule to fit the connector .

I figured it would be a bigger ferrule, I wonder how they expect it to us to do it with the provided ferrules.

Can you please post some pictures with the way you setup your PTFE tube on Nimble.
I have this adapter print by Shapeway : [www.shapeways.com]
I have a really hard time with Setting up the PTFE on Nimble for the last two days
Thank you

i will try tonight. but i didn't do anything special i just fed it through the adapter into the hotend and trimmed it either flush with the top or just below the top of the adapter.

The Nimble it is finally install in the right way.
When I turn on the printer the bed temperature is 23 degree and the hotend it is 2000 degree. I check and recheck the wiring and everything looks good. I order another PT100 from Filastruder and have it installed. It's the same probleme 2000 degree. How can I fix this ?. Thank you

If the hot end always reads 2000 then that suggests a configuration error in the M305 P1 command in config.g. See [duet3d.dozuki.com]. The PT100 daughter board is supplied with a 100 ohm resistor, which you can connect in place of the PT100 sensor to check that the daughter board is working and the configuration is correct.

Remove the R4700 parameter from the M305 P1 command.

It's not needed in the M305 P0 command either, although it won't do any harm in that one.

I removed R4700 parameter from the M305 P1 command and now the bed temperature is 22.5 degree and hotend is 26.6 degree.
Thank you so much David.

The 26.6C is, I presume, a bit higher than your actual ambient temperature. Are you using a 2-wire PT100 connection? If so then you probably have a few ohms of resistance in the wiring. Each ohm of resistance will increase the temperature reading by about 2.5C. The error in degC is approximately constant at all temperatures you are likely to use.

I'm using a 4-wire PT100 connection.
I should not have such a big difference in 4-wire configuration ? There is anything what I can do to have them on the same temperature ?
I'm not sure why I have such a difference between the bed and the hotend .
Thank you David

As you are using a 4-wire connection, make sure you have removed the 2 jumpers from that channel of the PT100 board.

I finally have the print fan duct installed on my smart effector.
How complicated is to do the PID tuning for my bed heater and the hotend ?
