I will try the fine-point tweezers too , as long I don't have to redo the whole 8-way connector. Thank you

I finally got the Fan Duct installed. Please take a look at the attached pictures and tell me what do you think. I do have a question. The fan-output should go through the fan-duct , the rectangular hole , or it's just for orientation ? Mine is not going through. Thank you

That looks right. How I have mine setup. It's a clear path from the fan through the duct right? Like no left over support material or anything? Mine seem to be working fine and I'm using a Noctua 40x10mm 12v fan. Wonder if the one you're using doesn't have enough power to overcome the static pressure caused by putting it on a duct.

Is this normal ?

Mine does that too. Though there's stuff in the way preventing very much rotation.

Thank you for clarifying this to me.

I notice in that video that 2 of the nuts holding the ball studs are missing, although I guess that is just because you temporarily removed the print cooling fan.

You are right,David. I was worried about the heatsink fan. I'm going to put all together tonight and fix the 8-way connector. Thank you

I finally got time to check the 8-way connector. It was not that hard to take the plugs out from the connector ( based on your recommendation ) , and Yes it was a bad crimp connection in the output pin. Now the G30 and G32 commands work with no problem. Thank you so much.

In that case it sounds like either one of the LEDs or the series resistor has blown. Did you run the effector at 24V with the "on for 12V" jumper installed? If you did then the 604 ohm series resistor has probably blown. If not, then most likely one of the 3 LEDs has failed - which is unlikely but not impossible. The one with 12V or 24V across it is the one that has failed.

I run the Effector at 24v with no jumper installed. I have D1, D7, and D9 next to the LEDs . Which is the one I have to replace in order to fix my lights ? Can you please tell me what LED is suitable ? Thank you

I would check those resistors with a multimeter anyway, and of course make sure there's no jumper as you're using pure 24v

Looking at the schematic, if it were not the resistor and none of the leds come on, I would start with the first in the series. It goes D1 --> D9 --> D7
I found the part # on the Duet forums, CLM3C-WKW-CWBYA153

Thank you FA-MAS. I have to order the LED. I was thinking to replace them with something like this : [www.amazon.com]
The original ones are small and I don't think It's very easy to solder .

Just checking to see how you've gotten on. Also, thought it might be of interest. Though probably less for you, my mounting method is different and I found that the fan duct was going to hit them. I changed to this, and it fits perfectly with lots of clearance between it and the hotend heatsink as well as the bottom of it is aligned with the bottom of the heater block giving lots of clearance for bed attachments.

But, when I imported it into CAD, even though it was manifold, I could see that the mesh wasn't very good. Multiple weird intersections and odd geometry was causing my slicer to do stuff unnecessarily complicated. I ended up redrawing the entire thing.

I do apologise for delay. As you know I have this fan duct from thingiverse installed with no success on my machine. I have no clearance. It was to close to the build surface. I don't know if it was the bracket or the fan duct. I really like this fan duct but It was not working for me. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I'm going to print your file today and I hope It will fit better. Can you please post a picture to show how Is fitting on your set up ?
Thank you
I finally figured out how to fix the lights

I'm not currently near the printer, but I will say that I originally tried using the bracket that dc42 created and when I attached this fan shroud, it dipped below the nozzle. I had to use the one from the actual thingiverse page.

If you look at my effector_assembly tab, it sits exactly like that, parallel to the bed, actually slightly above the bottom of the heater block and has quite a bit of space between it and the hotend fan shroud.

I was trying to load the file to Simplify 3D and this is what I got. I can't place the fan duct on the build surface. The bracket is ok. Do you know by any chance why ? I tried everything on S3d and It is not working.
Thank you

Hrmm, it dropped down just fine when I brought it into Prusa Slicer 2.0

Maybe there's an option in Simplify3d that would move it down? Maybe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJi4_ScDLtE

I actually had a few questions for you. How was installing the nimble? Did the adapter from Shapeways fit well or did it require some rework? What length cable did you get? Where did you mount the motor? And how are you managing the wires coming from the effector? Also does it work well? If you could attach a couple of pics, I’d appreciate it.

Installation of Nimble was easy and straight forward. The adapter from Shapeways It is working very good.
The only thing I have to do to make it work It was the hole for the Bowden tube It was to tight. The drive cable length is 95 cm. The motor Is mounted on Z tower. I'm not at the printer right now but I will post some pictures for the cables and measurements where I have the motor . The Nimble Is working very well but I can't compare ( I don't have another printer ). I'm struggling with the S3D settings. I do love the Nimble.

I noticed there was a lip inside the hole in the adapter where the ptfe is supposed to go, it prevents me from pushing it all the way through. From what I understand, the ptfe is supposed to be flush with the top of the adapter and go all the way into the heatsink of the hotend. Did you have to file out that hole a little to get the ptfe to fit?

For the hole I use a drill bit close to the exterior diameter of ptfe. I'm going to post some pictures when I get back home. Let me know if you need more pictures

There is no lip on the adapter. The Nimble seats on top of the ptfe.

Are you finding that rigidly mounting the nimble motor/motor bracket is sufficient or do you think one of the swivel mounts to allow the motor to move a little as the effector moves is needed?

Mine is working fine just with the bracket. I have in my PC at home a 3D file with a Gimbal mount for 2020 Delta frame, but I never used it. I can post the file Monday when I will be back in town. Did you mount the Nimble on the adapter ?

Just curious, mine is due to arrive today and was just thinking that I could go straight to the gimbal mount if it was necessary. Good to know it isn't, I'll just mount it.
