I was able to connect the board to my PC using USB, so this seems to be OK.

1. ATmega pin 14 is high. I assume this is OK since it is connected to TX pin of MCP2200.

2. ATmega pin 7 is ~1.1V, is this ok? I thought all the pins should be below 0.5V unless at 5V.

3. All my 5V measure as 5.8V, not sure if it is power supply (using PC power supply) or something else. Is this ok?

Honestly, it's a relief to read this. The same
worked for me three times without failure, so I
released the design, but would it work for
everybody? Apparently yes, and I'm happy with it.

Unless you have a programmer plugged in, pin 7
shouldn't be connected to anything. I'd double
check this, but it also could be a static load,
especially if these 1.1V dwindle while measuring.
